I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
